All renters and authorized drivers, designated by Wheels On Demand, must be at least 23 years old (including 2 years of valid driving license), provide their identity card (or valid passport) in addition to being the holder of a credit card.
The rental is granted for a fixed period specified in the contract.
The rental day corresponds to 24 hours, starting from the time of collection of the car.
Any day started is due. Wheels On Demand reserves the full right to terminate the rental and recover the vehicle by any means without justification or compensation, in the event that the renter has not respected one of the obligations of this contract, or if a problem occurs in the payment: rejection of the check, refusal of the credit card or exceeding the number of rental days authorized by this contract.
Upon delivery of the vehicle, the renter and the authorized drivers become fully responsible to Wheels On Demand for the full execution of these conditions.
Tires and Mechanics :
Normal mechanical wear and tear is the responsibility of Wheels On Demand. All repairs resulting from abnormal wear and tear, customer negligence or accidental causes will be the responsibility of the customer.
Replaced defective parts must be presented with the duly paid invoice stating the full amount of the repair.
The tenant declares that the five tires of the car are in good condition, without cuts; that the wear is normal.
In the event of deterioration of one of them for a cause other than normal wear, the tenant undertakes to immediately replace it with a tire of the same size and brand as those that equipped the rented vehicle.
Vehicle State :
The tenant is guaranteed according to the general conditions of the insurance policies taken out by Wheels On Demand, namely accidents caused to third parties according to the deductible and civil liability.
For theft of accessories, clothing and all objects inside the car and the trunk, the driver remains his own insurer.
In the event of an accident, the customer must return the duly completed police or gendarmerie report, and failing that, pay all sums for repairing the vehicle within the limit of the excess.
The customer must not under any circumstances discuss liability for the accident, nor compromise with third parties or take any action that could hinder or engage the insurance company in settling the claim.
The tenant remains liable for damage caused to the lower parts of the vehicle for whatever reason, such as :
- Damage to the interior of the vehicle.
- Damage to tires and rims
- Radiator, universal joint, etc.
The tenant is also responsible for damage to the windshield, or any other broken glass or signal lights.
Finally, the tenant is deprived of the guarantees for theft, fire and damage caused to the vehicle, any driver in a state of intoxication or under the influence of alcohol or under the effect of drugs or any other substance modifying the reflexes essential to driving.
Deposit - Extention :
A cash deposit starting from 500 Euros for standard vehicles and 3000 Euros for 4x4s is mandatory.
The guarantee or deposit will be returned to you when the car is returned.
The tenant will pay in advance, the deposit cannot under any circumstances be used to extend the rental.
Wheels On Demand reserves the right to refuse the extension of the rental, with the obligation to return the vehicle immediately.
Insurance :
Our vehicles have full auto insurance with a deductible excess. The coverage includes third party liability, passengers, fire and theft of the vehicle.
Therefore, other incidents, which are not mentioned above, are the responsibility of the customer and should be payable before leaving, or should be deducted from the credit card.
The damage to the vehicle is covered by the insurance only if the accident report is produced within 24 hours.
And finally, in the event of theft, our insurance can only apply subject to the return of the keys, the vehicle registration document and other documents required for circulation, as well as a theft report completed by the police.
Vehicle Return :
The vehicle must be returned during the opening hours of the rental agencies, on the date, time and place specified in the contract.
The vehicle must also be returned with the documents, equipment and accessories for circulation.
If the renter cannot return the circulation documents or the keys to the vehicle, he remains liable to Wheels On Demand for the days of immobilization until he produces a certificate of loss as well as the costs of issuing the duplicate.
Fines :
The renter and/or authorized drivers are responsible for any fines, tickets and reports issued against them.
He/she agrees to reimburse the amount to Wheels On Demand if it were required to advance it.
